EXTREMLY URGENT2025mixed media installation
This is a series that uses multinational delivery boxes, like those from Amazon and FedEx, as its canvas, which are emblematic objects of late capitalism. Halloubi uses screen-printing processes to create painting-sculptures on wood, where he associates the company logos with images of migrants attempting to emigrate clandestinely to Europe, images of barbed wire, and illustrations of the stigmata of Christ taken from an old dictionary. All of this is used to create pictorial compositions ready to be packaged and shipped in their turn.
