In this video, Halloubi overlays images of Jackson Pollock’s drippings, monumental installations by Richard Serra in Qatar, and footage reflecting the global investment in contemporary art, which he juxtaposes with scenes from the Arab Spring. Through this visual montage, he draws a parallel between the international art world’s investment and the uprisings of a global youth resisting the globalized order, thus offering a reflection on the notion of value and the political dimension of investment.
